Tuan Haji Mazli Zakuan is the Corporate Advisor of Mentri Besar, Trengganu (Incorporated).
Tuan Haji Mazli Zakuan bin Mohd Noor is an entrepreneur with an extensive history of working as an engineer. He started his career as an Application Engineer with Antah Oil Tools & Services Sdn. Bhd. in 1993 and moved on to join Smith International Inc as a Field Engineer. With his considerable experience, knowledge and skills in the oilfield drilling sector, he joined Nalco Exxon Chemicals as a Service Engineer in 1997 and moved up to various management positions in the multinational company.
In 2003, he co-founded Maces Sdn. Bhd. which was the first Malaysian specialty chemicals company specialising in oilfield and water treatment, where he assumed the position of Senior Vice President, Operations and subsequently promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Subsequently, he co-founded PAV Oilfield Services Sdn. Bhd., another Malaysian based company specialising in oilfield services.
Tuan Haji Mazli Zakuan bin Mohd Noor was the former Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Perbadanan Kemajuan Iktisad Negeri Kelantan (“PKINK”) from 2016 until March 2018, where his role was to enhance the performance of PKINK in spearheading the economic development of the State of Kelantan. His primary responsibilities included corporate and strategic planning, administration and talent management and entrepreneur development. As a company leader, he also oversaw the operations of a string of subsidiaries of PKINK and was entrusted as the Chairman of a Business Recovery and Continuity Team Committee. He played an active role in the exercise to list on Bursa Malaysia a wholly owned subsidiary of PKINK, namely Kumpulan Perladangan PKINK Berhad and was mandated as a member of the board of its subsidiaries. With an impressive network, industry expertise and market understanding, he created value and a great culture leading to strong company growth.
Tuan Haji Mazli Zakuan bin Mohd Noor is a registered engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia since 1993, and in 1995 he became a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers International.
