Installation for solar rooftop

The Terengganu Inc Group is actively participating in the green energy initiative through partnership with various parties such as GSPARX, Ocean Vantage Engineering and TESDEC by installing solar panels on industrial buildings.

This environmental approach was head started by Primula Beach Hotel (capacity: 0.32 MW), Permint Plywood Sdn Bhd (capacity: 0.13 MW) and PESAKA Timber Sdn Bhd (capacity: 0.32 MW).

3 Bio-Gas Plant installed

Terengganu Inc Group adopted the green technology effort with the installation of 3 biogas plants at TDM Kemaman, TDM Sungai Tong and Ladang Rakyat Trengganu Bukit Bandi Palm Oil Mill.

The Biogas Power Plants would provide long-term environmental care while also helping to develop the existing treatment system of oil palm mills to avoid polluting the environment.

The 3 plants with an investment of RM56 million have the potential to produce a total of 25,000,000 kWh of renewable energy each year.

I-REC Certificate Renewable Energy Certificate

Terengganu Inc via Asia CarbonX Change Plt has successfully redeemed 50MWh of I-REC certified by The International REC Standard representing 50MWh of electricity generated from renewable sources. Whereby, the redemption falls under Scope 2 emissions and its associated reporting.

MSPO AND RSPO

Certification in Plantation

Adoption of sustainability practices for Palm Oil through Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) standards at TDM Plantation Sdn Bhd and Ladang Rakyat Trengganu Sdn Bhd.


The standards help to minimize the negative impacts of oil palm cultivation on the environment and communities in palm oil-producing regions.

FSC AND PEFC

Certification in Forestry

Subsidiary of Golden Pharos Berhad, Kumpulan Pengurusan Kayu Kayan Terengganu Sdn Bhd (KPKKT) has been awarded with the international standard of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) certification for its well-managed tropical forest of 103,688 hectares in Dungun Timber Complex (DTC) since 2008. Meanwhile, Pesama Timber Corporation Sdn Bhd (PESAMA) also was awarded the FSC® certification for its Cherul Forest Concession (CFC) with an area of 20,243 hectares.

The entire forests managed under Golden Pharos Berhad have complied with the national forest certification, Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

Water Treatment Plant

Syarikat Air Terengganu Sdn Bhd (SATU) is committed to provide the people of Terengganu with safe and affordable water supply.

In ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water, SATU operates 14 units of water treatment plant with the total production capacity of 1,037 MLD.

3 PLANTS

Bio-Compost Plant & Bio-Humus Plant

Waste to wealth initiatives in converting palm oil mill’s waste such as Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME), Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) into bio-organic fertilizer/compost that acts as a soil conditioner. This operational productivity programmes aims to reduce cost at estates, generating profit while improving yield.

TDM owns two bio-composting plants in Kemaman and Sungai Tong with a combined production capacity of 61,000 MT. Meanwhile Ladang Rakyat Trengganu Bio-Humus Factory potentially produce 20,000MT of fertilizer annually, yielding RM4 million in profit.

MPOGCF

MOU with Malaysian Palm Oil Green Conservation Foundation (MPOGCF)

TDM Plantation Sdn Bhd have signed an MOU with MPOGCF to elevate its environmental conservation initiatives namely the ‘River of Life’ and the ‘Living Together with Elephants’ projects.

Living Together with Elephants is a project envisioned by TDMP to cope with the intrusion and encroachment of wild elephants at its oil palm estates in Kemaman and Setiu. Meanwhile, River of Life is a river rejuvenation effort by the company to promote protection, restoration, and sustainable use of rivers located in its operation units.

EV charging station at Primula Beach Resort

Terengganu Inc is proud to take on a leading role in providing green technology through the Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station available at Primula Beach Hotel Kuala Terengganu.


With a capacity of 7.5 kW, Primula Beach Hotel is the third location in Terengganu that provides the facility for EV users to recharge their vehicle, after Tanjung Vista Hotel in Kuala Terengganu and Awana Kijal in Kemaman.
