YAB Dato' Seri Dr. Ahmad Samsuri bin Mokhtar began his career in the public sector as an academic in 2001, as a Lecturer followed by Head of Department of Aerospace Engineering in Universiti Putra Malaysia. 

YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Samsuri bin Mokhtar is the Menteri Besar of Terengganu and the State Assemblyman for Ru Rendang State Constituency in Terengganu.

He began his career in the public sector as an academic in 2001, as a Lecturer followed by Head of Department of Aerospace Engineering in Universiti Putra Malaysia.
